I'm back ... sort of

PHOTO LINKS BELOW!

I have a hard time keeping up with 20 different types of social networking. At first it was just mail, then phone, then cell phone, then e-mail, then IM, then shutterfly... You get the pictures. But Shutterfly didn't offer enough of an opporutnity to link to other people. So blogging was the ticket b/c you are notified when others make updates. Of course that was all pre-Facebook, which has taken over the world. Now it is Twitter! What's next? (Oh and don't get me started on finding time to Web cam the grandparents!)

Facebook is my home now. I can't seem to keep up with anything else. It houses pictures, tweets, blogs, you name it. Plus it automatically updates friends when pictures are posted. Unfortunately, several of you guys are not on Facebook. Therefore, I'm back to the original problem of not being able to keep up with all of the different forms of communicating. What happened to a good old landline phone and nothing else????

Finally posting to the blog....

The end of the race season, the holidays, vacation, etc... all took way more time that I expected. I've completely neglected the blog. I did manage to add a few photos to our shutterfly page (http://www.meesters.shutterfly.com/) and somehow I got hooked on FaceBook. There isn't enough time to update them all, so sometime soon I will combine all three into one. In the meantime, here is the latest pic of Maclaren. She is soon to be 16 months old and is walking, talking, you name it.

Officially Walking

Maclaren took her first steps in July, but she hadn't shown much interest in walking since. Until Sept. 4! She celebrated my birthday by walking and hasn't stopped since. She still has a hard time with more than 7 or 8 steps at a time, but she is slowly getting the hang of it. I've yet to get a good video of it, but this will give you the idea.

Taken August 2008 - 10 months. Maclaren is growing up. She drinks only from cups now - no more bottles.

Maclaren learned "more" in sign language. She also knows how to clap and give a high 5.

Being Chased

Scott had a rare weekend off in July, his last until November; Maclaren, 10 months, enjoyed the extra time with Daddy. She loves when he chases her around the room. You can hear her excitement in this video.
